The 2019 GY Foil Invitation is set to take place on Sunday 25th August, at the usual Lowestoft venue – Ormiston Denes Sports Centre.

We hope to build off of the great turnout we had last year and look forward to welcoming old and new faces alike to this year’s event! As usual the event features both a senior, and junior categories, with the minimum age for the senior event being 13 on the day of the competition.

All events will have 2 rounds of poules, with prizes (medals and chocolates) being awarded to the top 4 in each category, as well as the presentation of our invitation classics – Best Newcomer and Best First Timer, in addition to Best U18 and Best O40 in the senior category. We hope this competition will provide a fun and enjoyable days fencing regardless of your experience.

New for 2019 – we’ve made a change to the entry system. To encourage you to enter early, we will offer a full refund to anyone who enters prior to the 19th August and subsequently has to withdraw, providing they let us know by the 19th August at the latest.
