Notification of the Eastern Region AGM
Date & time – 18th November 2018 starting at 10 am until 12.30
Venue – Bishops Park Community Centre, Bishops Park Centre, Lancaster Way, Bishop’s Stortford, Herts, CM23 4DA
Attached is the 2018 AGM Agenda.
A very important notice for all ER fencers and those interested in ER fencing.
The number one issue we have in the region is lack of help to run the region and its events.
Each year it falls on a handful of people to run all its events and keep the region going.
Many of them have now been doing this since the region was reformed in Jan 2013 and now feel its time for others to step up and help.
If there is no offer of help, the region will fold if the current committee resign.
That will mean NO BYC QUALIFYING COMPETITION, NO YOUTH TEAM EVENT, NO TRAINING DAYS, NO WINTON CUP TEAMS, NO SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS, NO REFEREE COURSES, ETC ETC
This is your region, so what do you want?
If the above do not take place how will effect you?
With no ER committee, there will be:
No BYC qualifiers event & therefore no ER youth qualifiers to go to the finals in Sheffield.
No senior championship, which doubles for the GB Cup qualifier, therefore no ER qualifiers to go to the finals of the GB cup.
No Winton cup teams, youth, senior or VETs
No ER referee courses
No ER run training days
Come to the AGM and support the committee, or better still join the committee and help run these events!
The committee meets face to face a couple of times a year and the rest of the time it is done by emails and phone calls.

On behalf of the BFA Eastern Region, we’d like to invite you to our Annual General Meeting of on the 12th February 2021 at 7pm. Like most meetings currently, this will be a virtual event (details to follow).
The entire committee will be there to give an overview of how each area of the region has done in 2020 and to talk about the future of the region.
